Bryan and Mike Memorial Golf Tournament Donates $6300 to SMGH

The Bryan and Mike Memorial Golf Tournament was held on June 23, 2007 at Sandhills Golf Resort. The tournament is dedicated to the lives of two young men which were tragically cut short.

Bryan, son of Pete and Anne, grew up north of Parkhill. After a short battle with cancer, at the age of 24, Bryan passed away on December 5, 2002.

Mike, son of Stan and Lesley, grew up south of Parkhill. Mike passed away as the result of a car accident on January 3, 2003. He was only 23 years old.

The terrible loss of these two young men within one month of each other was a devastating blow to their family, friends and the community. Bryan and Mike were young and handsome, articulate, well liked and fun loving, being very involved in community sports and activities. Their friends and family are dedicated to creating a legacy in their names. The golf tournament provides the opportunity to support cancer research and local medical services and to create meaningful change in the community.

The organizer of the event would like to thank everyone who participated, volunteered and sponsored the event to help make it so successful.
