Paul Bossons Story:

Sometimes in life every minute matters. For me it was the summer of 2008, when I started having terrible headaches. My wife, Laura, finally convinced me to see the doctor. Though blood tests didn’t reveal anything, the doctor recommended a CT scan.

With Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital having its own CT, I was able to have a scan the next day. It was a good thing too, because it revealed an aggressive brain tumour, one requiring immediate treatment. Within the week, I had surgery and started a course of radiation and chemotherapy. Two years later, I’m happy to report I’m doing well.

A quick diagnosis at Strathroy Hospital literally saved my life. That’s why I’m asking everyone I know to consider making a gift to help support life-saving care, close to home.

Today, Strathroy Middlesex General must purchase new anaesthetic machines for the operating rooms, at a cost of $300,000. This is some of the most heavily used equipment at the hospital, needed for all types of surgery. To date, the SMGH Foundation has raised $82,000, which is a good start. We need support from friends like you, however, to help close the gap.
