January 29th, 40 guests attend an information update in the auditorium
at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital (SMGH).
The
SMGH Foundation would like to thank the Strathroy & District
Chamber of Commerce for partnering for this important event, designed
to provide an opportunity for Chamber members and Municipal partners
to learn more about how Strathroy Hospital is working to bridge
a funding shortfall while continuing to maintain high quality healthcare
services.
The
meeting was facilitated by Gail Barker, Founder of Stellar Coaching
& Consulting and board member of both the Strathroy Hospital
Foundation and the Strathroy & District Chamber of Commerce.

and expense information, key financial indicators and cost drivers,
volume of activity and the 2008/09 operating position.
They
also presented information about the hospital transformation plan,
the accountability agreement and the external review report which
is expected soon as both the Hospital and South West Local Health
Integration Network continue an open dialogue to achieve a balanced
budget in 2009/10.
Norm
Gamble, Chair of the South West Local Health Integration Network
(SW LHIN) also made a presentation, providing an overview of the
SW LHIN, their role and priorities.
Maria
Van Bommel, MPP Lambton-Kent-Middlesex commented on the challenges
