Health Services Rated Top-Notch by Patient

In a recent letter to the editor published by the Strathroy Age Dispatch, Joy Reycraft remarked on the excellent care her husband received from the health care professionals of Strathroy Hospital.

Joy cited the excellent care and concern expressed during her husbands brush with cancer. She specifically thanked both Dr. David Crowley and Dr. Ian Ferguson for their prompt referral to a leading specialist in the region.

With the addition of a CT scanner in the hospital, the surgeon expressed that the images taken in Strathroy were 'right on the mark' and made his job a lot easier. The surgeon was able to remove the tumour and complete reconstruction, after which Joy's husband received a clean bill of health.

Joy wrote: "We, as a town and surrounding area, are so very fortunate that we have access to such excellent, timely medical attention in a time when other areas of our country are not so fortunate. In view of this, Strathroy - support your local hospital -support your local medical practitioners and say a huge thank you to all concerned for making it possible for you to have access to these top-notch facilities right in your own back yard."
