Thank
You to SMGH Foundation Volunteers

Strathroy
Middlesex General Hospital Foundation (SMGH) is honouring their
volunteers this week for their selfless efforts on behalf of the
Foundation and hospital. In addition to the small but highly functioning
core group of volunteers, SMGH Foundation would also like to thank
their volunteer Board of Directors and Committee members for their
service. These volunteers all work tirelessly to help with fundraising
efforts on a daily basis.
April
27- May 3 is National Volunteer Week, one of Canada 's largest annual
celebration and recognition of volunteers and the work that they
do to help make their communities better.
“There
is no better time to extend a sincere thank you to our volunteers
for everything they do,” said Susan McLean, SMGH Foundation CEO.
“With their hard work and dedication, Strathroy Hospital Foundation
is able to continue to increase our fundraising efforts for patient
care equipment and new technology.”
SMGH
Foundation volunteers were recognized along with all Middlesex Hospital
Alliance volunteers on Thursday May 1, during Volunteer Appreciation
Night.
Every
day, volunteers put their unique talents and abilities to use in
the Foundation office through activities such as welcoming visitors
and assisting donors, providing clerical and data entry assistance,
along with other work on other special fundraising projects. They
help Foundation employees, and touch patients' lives in many different
ways. Many Foundation volunteers spend their time volunteering not
only at the Foundation office, but also within Departments of the
Hospital.
“It's
very important for us to say thank you to our volunteers. There
is no payment for their time, effort, and caring. It's only with
their help that the Foundation will be able to continue to enhance
and improve healthcare at our Hospital through philanthropy,” said
McLean .
