We are committed to offering safe, convenient, and accessible parking options for all patients, visitors, and staff. Several designated parking areas are available on and around the hospital campus.

Paying for parking not only supports the maintenance and security of our facilities, it also helps provide our physicians and staff with the tools they need to deliver safe, high-quality care. Parking revenue contributes to the purchase of critical medical equipment, directly supporting patient care at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital.

Parking Overview
SMGH provides a variety of parking areas tailored to meet different needs:

[1] Staff Parking (East Lot): Reserved exclusively for hospital staff.

[2] Emergency Patient Parking: Short-term parking adjacent to the Emergency Department entrance for patients seeking urgent care.

[3] Emergency Drop-Off (15 Minutes): A dedicated short-term area for quick patient drop-offs at the Emergency entrance.

[4] Patient and Visitor Parking (North Lot): Convenient access for patients and visitors entering the main hospital.

[5] Patient and Visitor Parking (South Lot): Accessible for general patient and visitor use, including those accessing outpatient services.

[6] Physician Parking Only: Reserved for credentialed hospital physicians.

[7] Mixed Use Parking (Staff, Patient, Visitor): Overflow and flexible-use lot for all users.

[8] Daytime Use Lot (Staff, Visitor, Patient): Located west of Caradoc Street for daytime parking access.
Parking Rates
SMGH follows provincial guidelines for hospital parking fees:

$3 per hour, to a maximum of $10 (no in-and-out privileges)

For your convenience, the Emergency Department parking lot has two pay stations:

Located directly across from the Emergency Department entrance

Located at the back of the parking lot

Passes are available for purchase (cash or debit only) at the parking kiosk or the parking office (located in the Hospital front entrance vestibule)

Vehicles in unauthorized zones may be ticketed, and unpaid tickets may be forwarded to a collections agency. To dispute a ticket, please contact 1-866-831-7773

To reduce the risk of theft, do not leave wallets, bags, or electronics in plain sight. Lock valuables in your trunk or leave them at home.
