Founded in 1914 with the opening of Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, the SMGH Auxiliary has a proud legacy of volunteerism and community spirit.
At the heart of our Auxiliary is a spirit of volunteerism—and a legacy of giving that transforms care.
From its early days supplying food for the hospital kitchen to today’s dynamic fundraising efforts, the Auxiliary remains dedicated to advancing local health care.
Our Mission & Commitment
A volunteer-led organization, the Auxiliary is committed to supporting patient care through service and fundraising. Guided by a dedicated Executive, the Auxiliary recently fulfilled its extraordinary $1 million pledge and has now committed to raising an additional $250,000 to fund critical hospital equipment and improvements.
HOW WE HELP
Through the Java Hut Coffee Kiosk, the SMGH Gift Shop, special events, and tribute gifts, the Auxiliary continues to make a meaningful difference for patients and families.
