A Time to Remember: SMGH Memorial Service Offers Space for Reflection and Remembrance

When someone we love dies, their absence is felt in countless ways. Grief does not follow a schedule, and the memories we carry can bring both comfort and sorrow.

On Sunday, October 25 at 1:30 pm, Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital will host a special Memorial Service for invited family members and friends. The service will provide a warm and supportive space to honour those who have left us this year, reflect on cherished memories, and find comfort in gathering with others who have also experienced loss.

Through thoughtful readings, music, and moments of quiet reflection, guests will be invited to remember the lives of those who are deeply missed and the lasting place they continue to hold in the hearts of those who loved them.

A memorial slideshow featuring photographs of those being remembered will also be presented during the service. Guests who would like their loved one included are encouraged to email a photograph to info@smghfoundation.com. To help us identify each photograph, please use your loved one’s full name as the file name.

This service has been thoughtfully planned for families and friends who have received a personal invitation. We hope it offers a meaningful opportunity to pause, remember, and feel surrounded by the care and support of the SMGH community.

Although every experience of grief is different, no one should have to carry it alone. Together, we will honour lives lived, memories treasured, and love that endures.
