SMGH Foundation is pleased to invite our donors, CommonWealth Financial clients and members of the community to Give More. Keep More., a complimentary educational seminar exploring practical, tax-smart approaches to charitable giving.

Led by Patrick Sanders, CFP, of CommonWealth Financial Services, alongside Jenny Kerrigan, the seminar will introduce strategies that may help you make the most of available tax benefits while supporting the local charities and causes that matter to you.

The Foundation is covering the cost of the seminar as a thank-you to our generous donors and as a service to the broader community. Whether you already have a charitable giving plan or are simply interested in learning more, you are warmly invited to attend.

Patrick will present the same seminar on three convenient dates:

Tuesday, November 3 at 10:00 a.m.
Tuesday, November 10 at 12:00 p.m.
Tuesday, November 24 at 5:00 p.m.

All sessions will take place in the Dudley George Auditorium at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, located at 395 Carrie Street in Strathroy.

Each seminar will include an open Q&A, followed by an opportunity for guests to speak with Patrick one-on-one. Parking validation will be available, and light refreshments will be served.

Meet Patrick Sanders & Jenny Kerrigan

Patrick Sanders is a Certified Financial Planner and co-owner of CommonWealth Financial, where he works alongside his wife, Stephanie. He is passionate about helping people better understand their finances and make informed decisions as they work toward their goals.

Raised on his family’s dairy farm in Peterborough County, Patrick attended the University of Guelph, where he majored in Animal Science and graduated as valedictorian of the Ontario Agricultural College’s Class of 2007. After moving to the Strathroy area, Patrick and Stephanie established deep roots in the community. Today, they are raising their two children, Brooklyn and Jackson, while enjoying life on their hobby farm.

Outside the office, Patrick is well known for announcing tractor pulls across Southern Ontario and competing in plowing matches. In 2022, he earned the title of Ontario Conventional Plowing Champion at the International Plowing Match.

Jenny grew up in Bright’s Grove and St. Mary’s and attended King’s College at Western University in London.

She began her career in the investment industry in Ridgetown in 2008, where she discovered her passion for helping people learn about their money, understand their goals and determine what they need to do to achieve them.

Jenny holds her Mutual Funds Licence and Life Insurance Licence and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional in 2016. She began her career with CommonWealth Financial in 2017.
