Free TVs for Every Patient

We believe every patient deserves comfort, connection, and dignity during their hospital stay. Something as simple as television can make a big difference

At Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, — easing anxiety, reducing loneliness, and helping patients and families feel more at home.

Until now, patients paid for television access at their bedside. As of October 1, following the approval of the SMGH Foundation Board of Directors, television service is now free for every patient. This change removes barriers and ensures that everyone — regardless of circumstance — can enjoy this comfort while in hospital.

To keep this program available, the Foundation has launched the SMGH Patient Connection Program. Through sponsorship and community partnership, we will sustain complimentary patient TVs and ensure this service continues for years to come.

With the support of community partners, the Foundation is proud to provide this service on an ongoing basis. There is an annual cost to maintain the program, and we invite sponsors to join us in ensuring this comfort remains available to all patients and families.
