Season to Shine is a community-driven celebration of generosity and the impact we create together. Running from October 15 to January 15, the campaign aims to raise $250,000 to support the highest-priority needs at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital.
As donations grow, we will light 18 trees across the hospital grounds—each representing approximately $14,000 in community support. Gifts of $2,000 or more are recognized with a dedicated sign beneath a tree, honouring the donors whose kindness helps brighten care for patients, families, and care teams.
With every tree that shines, we illuminate the difference compassion makes in our community.
Our Season to Shine holiday campaign on December 2 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital was a tremendous success.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, we began the evening having raised $153,000, which lit 10 trees across the hospital grounds.
We were just $1,000 short of lighting the 11th tree—until one guest announced a spontaneous $2,000 gift, which lit the next tree and secured recognition on the sign in front of it. It was a beautiful and unforgettable moment of community spirit.
To date, we have now raised over $177,000 and lit 13 trees—with only 6 more to go to reach our goal
Together, we are truly making this a Season to Shine.

A Magical Start to the Season
We were honoured to share a joyful day with our community at the 2025 Strathroy Lions Club – Ricco Foods Santa Claus Parade. Our team’s creativity brought our float to life, and the energy along the parade route was unforgettable.
A special thank you to our staff, their families, and everyone who joined us in spreading cheer and handing out candy to the thousands of children lining the streets. Your enthusiasm helped set the perfect tone for the beginning of A Season to Shine.
To Our CommonWealth Financial Partner
We’re grateful to our CommonWealth Partner for helping make Giving Tuesday even brighter this year by providing free parking for the first 500 patients and visitors at SMGH on Tuesday, December 2.
This thoughtful gesture reduces a small but meaningful barrier for those coming to the hospital that day, and we deeply appreciate their commitment to supporting compassionate care close to home.
